Authenticity Health & Wellness Coaching is about reconnecting you with the person you were created to be. I believe we were each created to live an extraordinary life, but in our world with its many distractions, it is easy to become disconnected from our authentic self. You are uniquely designed, gifted and have the inner wisdom to live abundantly.

The inspiration behind this business is my personal wellness journey. When I turned 50, I began giving serious thought to what I wanted the “next act” of my life to look like. I had been gaining weight year by year, though my diet hadn’t changed. I was out of shape. I was tired and depleted much of the time. I was peri-menopausal and all that it entails. My world was shrinking and I was retreating socially. This coincided with the impending birth of our second grandchild. It felt very important to me to have the energy level to actively engage in the lives of our grandchildren. In order to do that, I knew I needed to improve my health so I could function at my best. During that time I became convicted of my need to turn this area of my life over to God. I began praying about my desire to lose weight and get in shape. I meditated over scriptures that spoke to me and even recited them out loud during the moments when I was tempted to quit. I began sharing this heartfelt desire with trusted family and friends who encouraged me. What God did surprised even me! I embraced clean eating, lost 20 lbs, and became fit and strong. He has completely transformed my body!

Out of this journey has blossomed a passion to assist others who may want to embark on a transformation of their own. If you want to leverage your faith to meet your goals, I know something about that, but I work with clients of diverse backgrounds and beliefs. I have a successful track record with clients in their 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.

The emphasis of my coaching is on clean eating, improving energy, managing stress and sensible movement. Most clients come to me for weight loss and/or the desire to reduce the need for medication. Whether you have 20 lbs or 200 lbs to lose, the process is the same–changing your mindset. I utilize cutting-edge, researched principles around nutrition and wellness to guide my coaching. The approach is never cookie-cutter, but always customized. The human body is amazing in it’s capacity for adaptation and really wants to be well. We just need to align with it and watch things fall into place.

I’m a registered nurse and received my bachelor’s degree from Boston University. I trained to become a coach through Wellcoaches and have been a Certified Wellcoach® since 2013. The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) endorses this certification. I’m the creator of an 8 week wellness program (in-person small group coaching) for women. When I’m not working, you’ll find me preparing healthy food, biking, running, doing yoga, and paddleboarding on Tybee Island.
