I Heart Smoothies

I really do. They are just so versatile and can be a great source of protein when you use yogurt or protein powder as a base. The recipe above is one of my go-to smoothies as the weather turns cooler. I’ve had it as a mid-afternoon snack, breakfast, or dessert when I was craving ice cream. I found this on the Dr. Oz website and modified it slightly, substituting plain yogurt for vanilla (less sugar) and adding vanilla unsweetened almond milk–the consistency is too thick for a smoothie without the liquid. Enjoy!
